SpringCon has sprungcon

It's that time of year again... sure, the snow has melted (finally), Minnesota's going to get it's first 90 degree day (followed by a week of thunderstorms most likely), and the plants are getting green (the migrating birds however, are confused as all get out with the extended winter). Most importantly, however, it's time for Midwest Comic Book Association's Springcon celebration!
More importantly, it's the 25th annual Springcon! You know how much I dig anniversary milestones and all that! Of course, this being my hometown comic book convention, I am going to be there! How am I celebrating? Well...
First of all the original artwork for this lovely mashup will be available in the charity auction. Last year's Avengers piece did very well... I am hoping this will raise some good money as well. Also to celebrate the 25th anniversary of SpringCon there will be a crapton of original art sketchcards given away at the door... I drew four of 'em. You know you want a shot at those.
Of course if you aren't lucky enough to win the auction or cards at the door, you can always swing by my table and buy a sketchcard in person. Or commission a sketch... I'll have pinups for sale and free bookmarks too. And candy. If nothing else, come get some candy.
As always, The MCBA's SpringCon is held on the Minnesota State Fair grounds in the Grandstand. May 18th and 19th 10am-5pm both days. That's this weekend, folks! I know it's a "smaller" con and I didn't give ya a ton of notice (although in my defense I was in terrible terrible pain all last week... I did apologize about the two missed updates, right?) if you are anywhere near St. Paul this weekend do give it a whirl! I'll be doing a lot more tweeting this con... watch for pictures! I can tweet those too! Of course, I will post a blog next week detailing everything, but you know you wanna hear about it semi-live, right? Course ya do.
As always, I am looking forward to sitting at the booth- I love it! And as we gear up to print our first round of books, our convention schedule will be light! You may not see me released into the wild again until 2014! Get in on this action while you can!
